Apocryphal History of My Inner Spoiled Child

My Inner Spoiled Child originated as a radio show at Shippensburg University. The show began in Fall 2003 as the brainspawn of Rev Dr. Q Fluffy Windbreakers II 1/2, Robin Cartwright, and The Campus Crusade for "Bob", and aired Saturday nights. The format was a little confusing, providing a mix of lousy commershul classic rock, a fair smattering of Pink Floyd and Frank Zappa, some novelty bits, the cheesiest pop krap from the ’80s, and a good sprinkling of tunes and clips culled from the Hour of Slack. There was an attempt to educate the public of the area to the word of “Bob”, but little came from that.

In August 2004, “Doktor Fluff” died. Before his death, he passed the mantle of My Inner Spoiled Child unto yours truly, Rev. Dr. Feit C. Taj, with the proviso that the show be reincarnated on the intarweb when the time was right.

Unfortunately, finding the “right time” involved getting the gelt together to pay for a server that could host the program. In the meantime, I set about tweaking the format, finding a greater selection of krap, adding a blast of some old ’30s music (inspired by repeated viewings of Richard Elfman’s Forbidden Zone), and setting up a program that would play all of this shit 24 hours a day. A sucker web provider was finally found, and the 24-hour broadcast of My Inner Spoiled Child returned to the air in December of 2008.

A two-hour block within the broadcast, which models the original My Inner Spoiled Child show, can be heard Sunday 3-5 PM Eastern Time. I hope during that time to be entertaining someone other than myself.
